Backlinks are usually called hypertext that points back to your website or blog. The more sites that have links back to your site or blog means that your site is important, relevant or has the authority in certain keywords. You can establish backlinks by posting to forums, directories, social networks and many more for you to start having backlinks to your site. It will take time to be an authority and have hundreds of links pointing back at your site. Make sure to post in forums that is relevant to what your blog or site is. Do not post or create back links to forums or websites like weight loss if your site is all about SHOES. Master the basics before you can jump in to the next level of marketing and learn effectively so you will not waste time, effort and money to your chosen niche. Search for relevant keywords as you can and make articles for each keyword.
Forums are very helpful as well, make sure to create your signature and have them directed to your blog or website. Please be reminded that you must post relevant, objective and helpful replies to topics that are related to your blog and do not post short replies just acknowledging something, make sure it has valuable content for them to read.
